CSA met the WCD, Orissa State Government, the ACA, Orissa and leading agencies, to finalise the Plan of Action for Orissa. The initiative is directed at finding homes for approximately 150 children waiting across 7 agencies.

In celebration of Adoption Awareness Week CSA organized a Children’s event at Abhiruchi, a farmhouse in Pune. Approximately 50 children from 4 Adoption agencies and the Boys’ Observation Home, Pune had a day of fun.

Functional literacy Programme (Training of Trainers) for ‘out-of-school’ children (girls) was conducted at the Mundwa State Home for Girls’, Pune. 18 children participated as trainers. They will train other inmates in functional literacy. The training will be held daily (for 2 hours) and commenced on the 20th August.
